Radka Toneff Minnepris

The Radka Toneff Minnepris (German Radka Toneff Memorial Award) is a Norwegian music award established in 1993.

If possible, it is awarded every two years to Norwegian solo artists whose works are created in the spirit of the Norwegian jazz singer Radka Toneff , who tragically died in 1982 . The prize is financed by the Radka Toneff Minnefond , which was established in 1993 . This fund is fed from the income from the two albums Fairytales and Live in Hamburg , released by Odin Records , as well as the two compilation albums Some Time Ago - A Collection Of Her Finest Moments and Butterfly . In 2008 the fund was integrated into a foundation. The prize money between 1993 and 2007 was NOK 25,000. In 2009 the prize was endowed with 40,000 Norwegian kroner, in 2011 and 2013 with 50,000 Norwegian kroner and in 2015 even with 100,000 Norwegian kroner. Until 2007, the award took place as part of the Moldejazz jazz festival in Trondheim .
