Mother of God Church

Radogoszcz (German Wünschendorf ) is a village with 384 inhabitants in the rural municipality Lubań ( Lauban -Land) in the powiat Lubański in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland . The place is on the left bank of the Queis .

history

Wünschendorf has belonged to the Lauban Magdalen convent since the monastery was founded in 1320 . Farmers, gardeners and cottagers of the place were subject to interest and robots . They were also obliged to perform manual and clamping services . The monastic Niedvorwerk Wünschendorf, west of the road from Lauban to Naumburg am Queis , to which a mill also belonged, burned down during the Thirty Years' War as a result of negligent arson. It was relocated to the Schäferberg north of and near the town of Lauban and connected to the existing mine.

At the end of the 19th century, bricks and clinker were burned near Wünschendorf . A large chamotte factory with a factory colony was soon established . From 1902 to 1918 the factory was managed by the engineer Max Knoch. In 1909 there was a merger with the Stettiner Chamottefabrik Aktiongesellschaft formerly Didier . Even after Knoch's death, the company kept the name M Knoch & Comp. GmbH, chamotte and silicate factory , Alfred Schwandes from Stettin became the new director. In 1924 the factory received a standard gauge railway connection for the first time . A lack of resources and low demand meant that the chamotte factory was demolished by 1938.
