Radu Florian (born April 8, 1920 in Bucharest , † November 10, 1991 ) was a Romanian football player . He played a total of 44 games in the Romanian Divizia A and the Italian Serie A .

Career

Florian came to Rapid Bucharest in 1939 , which was playing in Divizia A at the time . In the 1939/40 season he was used ten times and ended the season as runner-up behind Venus Bucharest . Against the same opponent, he won his first title by winning the Cup in 1940 . The following season also ended with the runner-up and a cup success . Then the Divizia A had to be interrupted due to the Second World War. In the remaining cup competition he drove with his team the third victory in a row . In the 1942/43 season he was able to score 19 goals in 21 games in the unofficial league and take second place behind FC Craiova with Rapid .

When the game was resumed, Florian Rapid Bucharest, now trading as CFR Bucharest , was retained. He qualified with his team for Divizia A and finished the season 1946/47 in fifth place in the table. He then moved to Szentlőrinczi AC in Hungary. In 1948 he joined the Italian team AS Roma , but only made five appearances in the league . After a season at AS Cosenza in Serie C , he ended his career.

National team

Florian played a game for the Romanian national team when he came on 11 November 1942 in a 2-2 win against Croatia and was able to score the goal to 1: 2.
