Rago was a Uruguayan car brand.

Brand history

The company Industrias WARV was based in Montevideo . It produced automobiles under the direction of the brothers Carlos and Waldemar Rago . The brand name was Rago . The period of production is given either as 1966 to 1972 or only in 1967. A total of twelve vehicles were built. Some still exist. The original designs and tools are still owned by the Rago family.

The only model was a small coupe . There was space for two adults and two children. The body was made of fiberglass designed by De la Maria. With a wheelbase of 202 cm and a track width of 122 cm at the front and 118 cm at the rear, the vehicle was 355 cm long, 145 cm wide and 130 cm high. The curb weight was given as 395 kg. A two-cylinder two - stroke engine from Hispano Villiers with a 57 mm bore , 63.5 mm stroke , 325 cm³ displacement and 16.5  hp was mounted in the rear. He drove the rear wheels.
