Santa Rosa Automotores SA is a Uruguayan importer of automobiles and a former automobile manufacturer .

Company history

The company was founded in Montevideo in 1962 . Jorge Mutio and Albérico Passadore, who previously ran the Mutio, Passadore company , are initially named as people . First they imported Renault vehicles . A little later they acquired vehicle parts from Industrias Kaiser Argentina , from which they made an independent model. The brand name was Renault . In July 2014, Esteban Martino headed the company. The Argentine Manuel Antelo acquired the company in February 2016 and appointed Eduardo Ache President.

Vehicle production

The only model was the Renault Mini 4 . This was a modification of the Renault 4 with a different rear design. It was available as a two-door sedan , a two-door station wagon with a large tailgate and a pick-up . A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 58 mm bore , 80 mm stroke , 845 cm³ displacement and 33  HP power drove the front wheels.
