Raika ( Japanese ラ イ カ ) is the title of the debut album by Japanese pop singer Chiai Fujikawa and was released on May 7, 2019 via Nippon Columbia .

The album contains eleven tracks, including the pieces Kimi no Namae and Atashi ga Tonari ni Iru Uchi ni , both of which can be heard in the credits of the anime series The Rising of the Shield Hero , and is 50 minutes and 58 seconds long.

Fujikawa was in 2015 a member of the J-Pop - pop group Maneki Kecak with which they released a full album, a DVD and several singles. In August 2018, she announced that she was leaving the girl group and started her solo music career.

By the end of the year she had released three singles, including Katte ni Hitori de Dokidoki Sunna yo and Kimi no Namae , both of which were placed on the album. In 2019 the fourth single Atashi ga Tonari ni Iru Uchi ni followed . Kimi no Namae and Atashi ga Tonari ni Iru Uchi ni can be heard in the credits of the anime series The Rising of the Shield Hero .

The music was written by the composer collective Elements Garden , who also recorded all of the instruments for the album. Chiai Fujikawa wrote all the lyrics in collaboration with Kan Furuya and Sekaikan Ozaki .

A music video was shot for Atashi ga Tonari ni Iru Uchi ni . The shooting took place in Tokyo and Okayama and lasted three days. Raika herself appeared on Nippon Columbia on May 7, 2019 .

Raika charted in tenth place on the Japanese album charts in the week of May 20, 2019 and stayed for a total of nine weeks. 6,000 units were sold in the first week.

The song Kimi no namae received a nomination for the Anime Trending Awards 2020 in the category Best Ending Song of the Year .
