In 1973 musical instruments was a series of welfare stamps from the Deutsche Bundespost . It replaced the previous welfare series Old Toys . Similar stamps with the inscription "Deutsche Bundespost Berlin" were issued by the Landespostdirektion Berlin . One year later, the series was replaced by the welfare series Flowers .

All eight charity stamps as well as the two similar Christmas stamps were designed by Isolde Monson-Baumgart .
