Postage Stamp Day (Germany)
Postage Stamp Day is a special series of postage stamps for the Federal Republic of Germany that has been published since 1949. It is the only series that has existed since the Federal Republic was founded. Between 2000 and 2003 the series traded under the name For the postage stamp . The stamps alternate annually between normal special stamps and surcharge stamps, so-called plus stamps, in favor of the Foundation for Philately and Postal History.

Individual evidence
- ^ The circulation of the two stamps for the postage stamp exhibition was initially only 3.05 million. Since these were sold out quickly, another 5.8 million were reprinted with slightly different color in the edge and value imprint with the issue date August 22nd
- ↑ a b This stamp was only issued as a stamp block, see also under "Special features"
- ↑ The stamps were printed together, but they can also be purchased individually (arrangement 40/50/40/50 etc.)
- ↑ A specialty is the stamp for "Stamp Day" (Michel no. 1023), which, contrary to the standard, was issued in miniature sheets of 10 with a special text imprint on the upper horizontal margin, although the stamps could certainly be purchased individually.
- ↑ A specialty is the stamp for "Stamp Day" (Michel no. 1065), which was issued under the heading "FIP Congress" and does not show any textual reference to the issue of the day of the stamp, in the 1980 issuing program it does had been announced. In contrast to the standard, this stamp appeared in miniature sheets of 10 each with a special text print on the upper horizontal margin, although the stamps could certainly be purchased individually.
- ↑ no explicit mention as the day of the postage stamp
- ↑ This stamp was only issued as a sheetlet or block of six identical stamps
- ↑ Not explicitly shown as the day of the postage stamp
- ↑ The stamp's sheet of ten has a special perforation and is numbered. The number range 1 - 650,000 is reserved for products from philately and the Federal Ministry of Finance as well as for sales through the Philately branch (subscriptions and individual orders). Numbers from 650.001 are intended for branch sales of Deutsche Post.
