The postage stamp year 1986 of the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin comprised 20 special stamps and two definitive stamps . The postage stamps of this year were valid until December 31, 1991 .

The nominal value of the brands was DM 15.20 ; an additional DM 3.80 was paid for charitable purposes .

This year the new definitive series “ Women in German History ” began with two issues, which appeared at the same time with the inscription Deutsche Bundespost . From this series 17 values were issued by the end of the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin .
