Fairy tales (welfare stamp series)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Michel number 325 actually belongs to the Helfer der Menschheit series , but forms an elegant transition to the fairy tale series

Märchen was a charity stamp series of the Deutsche Bundespost from 1959 to 1967. It replaced the previous charity series Helpers der Menschheit . Postage stamps with the same motif with the inscription "Deutsche Bundespost Berlin" were only issued from 1964 to 1967 by the Landespostdirektion Berlin . The series was replaced in 1968 by the old toys welfare series.

A “new edition” of the fairy tale welfare series has been available since the 2014 postage stamp year of the Federal Republic of Germany with Hansel and Gretel, 2015 (Sleeping Beauty) and 2016 (Little Red Riding Hood).
