Postage stamps issued in 1979 by the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin

The postage stamp year 1979 of the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin comprised 22 special stamps and one definitive stamp . All issues of this year were valid for postage until December 31, 1991 .

The nominal value of the brands was DM 13.10 ; an additional DM 3.35 was paid for charitable purposes .

The special stamp with a motif of the Berlin Botanical Garden , which has existed for 300 years, was an unusual size for Berlin postage stamps . As a supplement to the definitive stamp series “ Burgen und Schlösser ”, a stamp with a face value of 60 Pfennig appeared at the same time as the Deutsche Bundespost .
