The 1964 stamp year of the Deutsche Bundespost comprised 42  special stamps , eight of which were only issued as a block of stamps , and nine definitive stamps .

particularities

The block "Resistance fighters" was announced as not valid for postage, only the separated individual stamps should be valid. In day-to-day operations, however, shipments with entire blocks stuck on were also transported without objection and were not subject to additional postage.

Remarks

  1. According to an official ruling, the block as a whole was not valid for postage, but franking with this block was canceled and transported without objection.
  2. A stamp with the same motif with the inscription "Deutsche Bundespost Berlin" was also issued in 1964 by the Landespostdirektion Berlin with the MiNr. 236 issued.
  3. a b c d Although four of the twelve stamps were only issued in 1965, they belong to this set and therefore belong to the year of issue 1964.
  4. Postage stamps with the same motif with the inscription "Deutsche Bundespost Berlin" were also issued in 1964 by the Landespostdirektion Berlin with the MiNos. 237 to 240 issued.

  6. This value is a supplement to the continuous series that first came to the counter in 1961 , for which two supplementary values had already appeared in 1962 . The 90 Pf value was not issued by the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin in contrast to the other value categories of the permanent series.
