Series: Federal President Gustav Heinemann |
The 1972 stamp year of the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin comprised 17 special stamps and twelve definitive stamps . The postage stamps of this year were valid until December 31, 1991 .
The nominal value of the brands was DM 14.65 ; in addition, DM 1.50 was added as a surcharge for charitable purposes .
With this vintage, the definitive series “ Federal President Gustav Heinemann ” issued since 1970 was continued with six new values. Five stamps in this series were issued on the same day with the inscription Deutsche Bundespost , up to the face value of 15 Pfennig . The exceptional value was the postage for a postcard within Berlin. The accident prevention definitive series has also been supplemented with six new values.
Three stamps were printed in a format unusually large for Berlin issues. Among them is a painting by Max Liebermann , who was honored with an additional edition for his 125th birthday.
