Botany (welfare stamp series of the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin)

Botany or under the more common name flowers or flora was a joint welfare stamp series of the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin and the Deutsche Bundespost from 1974 to 1985 , see: Botanik (welfare stamp series of the Deutsche Bundespost) . It replaced the previous welfare series Musical Instruments . The series was replaced in 1986 by the welfare series “Precious Glasses”.

In 1974 the Bundespost celebrated the anniversary of “25 years of welfare stamps”. On this occasion, this name was chosen instead of the previous name “welfare stamp (year number)”. From 1979, the brands were called "For Welfare Care".

All welfare stamps issued from 1974 to 1982 as well as the similarly designed Christmas stamps from 1974 and 1975 were designed by Heinz Schillinger . In the following years the artists changed.
