The postage stamp year 1987 of the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin comprised 17 individual special stamps , a stamp block with four special stamps and five definitive stamps . All issues of this year were valid for postage until December 31, 1991 .

The nominal value of the brands was DM 16.60  ; an additional DM 3.80 was paid for charitable purposes .

A stamp pad was issued on the subject of “750 Years of Berlin”; also a special stamp in an unusual size for Berlin postage stamps. This motif appeared on the same day with the inscription Deutsche Bundespost . As supplementary values, there were one new motifs in the definitive series “ Women of German History ” and four new motifs in the “ Sights ”; these appeared on the same day with the inscription Deutsche Bundespost .

For the first time, there were machine stamps in Berlin with face values ​​from 5 to 9995 pfennigs in steps of five pfennigs.
