German painting
German painting is a series of stamps from the Federal Republic of Germany. In 2005 it replaced the series German Painting of the 20th Century . So far, every year, with the exception of 2008, in which the first motif was issued as a self-adhesive variant, a new brand motif has appeared. The designs for the series come from Werner Hans Schmidt .
The stamps are printed in multi-color offset printing with a size of 35 × 35 millimeters as a sheet of ten (five postage stamps next to each other, two below each other) in the Bundesdruckerei in Berlin. The coated, white and fluorescent postage stamp paper DP 2 is used for the production of the postage stamps.
The stamps have no uniform postage value. The values of the previous brands fluctuate between 45, 55, 145, 240 and 260 euro cents.
