Chiai Fujikawa ( Japanese 藤 川 千 愛 Fujikawa Chiai ; born June 6, 1995 in Ibara , Okayama Prefecture , Japan ) is a singer .

life and career

Fujikawa was born on June 6, 1995 in Ibara, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Already three years ago, inspired by her grandfather, an Enka singer who grew up in her decision singer to be. After graduating from high school , she worked in a factory before joining the idol group Maneki Kecak in 2015 . She had a guest role in the first episode of the series Kizoku Tantei , which aired on Fuji TV from April 2017 .

Together with Maneki Kecak, Fujikawa released six singles, a full album and a DVD, almost all of which entered the Japanese charts . In August 2018, she announced that she was leaving the girl group. In the same year Fujikawa released her first three singles as a solo musician with Katte ni Hitori de Dokidoki Sunna yo , Yume Nankaja Meshi wa Kuenai to Dareka no Sei ni Shite and Kimi no Namae . The latter single serves as the end credits for the first half of the first season of the anime series The Rising of the Shield Hero , which has aired on Japanese television since January 9, 2019. Her fourth single, Atashi ga Tonari ni Iru uchi ni , was chosen as the closing title for the second half of the first season of the same anime. Her debut album Raika was released on May 7, 2019 by Nippon Columbia . It rose to number ten on the Japanese album charts .

Chiai Fujikawa recorded a Buck-Tick cover song with the Japanese duo minus (-) , which will be featured on the tribute album PARADE III ~ RESPECTIVE TRACKS OF BUCK-TICK ~ , released on January 29, 2020 . At the end of 2019 she released two new pieces with Hikiyose rarete yume o miru and Omajinai . Her second studio album, Ai wa Headphone kara , was released on April 8, 2020 . On this one can find the piece Kuyashisa wa Tane , which is used as the closing song for the Digimon reboot anime.
