Raimund von Doblhoff

Raimund von Doblhoff (born August 24, 1914 in Vienna ; † November 22, 1993 in Augsburg ) was an Austro-German architect .

Life

Doblhoff studied from 1935 to 1940 at the Technical University of Vienna . From the end of the Second World War until 1990 he ran his own architecture office in Augsburg. Doblhoff played an important role in the reconstruction of the city of Augsburg. From 1960 to 1988 he also developed extensive construction activities on the island of Elba (Italy).

In 1993 Doblhoff died in Augsburg.

Raimund is the grandson of Josef von Doblhoff-Dier , a writer and diplomat.

Volunteering

Doblhoff was active as a board member of the Association of Old Town Friends from 1960 to 1970 and was involved in issues of urban development in Augsburg. He presented a collection of around 1000 sheets of European prints from the 16th to 18th centuries. Century, which is kept in the archive of the Architecture Museum Swabia .
