The course of the brook

The source area of the Rainbach lies in the Rotte Schön in Schwarzenbach . It flows into the Schwarzenbach near Kobersdorf .

The name "Rainbach"

It was probably given the name because of its location. Shortly after its sources it already forms the border (the "Rain") between Lower Austria and Burgenland . In its further course it forms the border of the Kobersdorf cadastral communities Kobersdorf and Oberpetersdorf almost up to the confluence with the Schwarzenbach .

In historical documents the Rainbach is also called Zarannuk Potok , Zarannuk-potok or Zarannukpotok .
