Rainer Maria Ehrhardt (born February 14, 1948 ) is a German broadcaster , journalist and presenter .

Professional background

After graduating from high school in 1967 at the Kaiserin-Friedrich-Schule (today: Kaiserin-Friedrich-Gymnasium ) in Bad Homburg , Ehrhardt studied electrical engineering in Darmstadt until 1969 and then business administration at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main until 1971 .

After a brief activity as a contact assistant in an advertising agency, he became a production assistant at CBS in 1972 and production assistant or production manager at Bellaphon Records in 1973 . In 1975/76 he did his community service in Oberursel . He then worked as a freelancer for Frank Farian until 1982 . He was also a presenter at Radio Luxemburg in 1981/82 and from 1982 to 1995 at the Hessischer Rundfunk . From 1990 to 2015 he was an off-speaker at ZDF , 3sat and ARTE . In addition, since 2002 he has been an off-speaker for various programs on Sat.1 , Kabel eins and VOX (including Planetopia , Dogs with Jobs and Heroes of the District Class ). Ehrhardt has been a DJ since 1966 . He has been a member of GEMA since 1971 . From 1971 to 1974 he was keyboardist for the band The Cleftons . From 1973 to 1976 he was the band leader of Funky Family . 1971 to 1984 and since 2005 Ehrhardt has been a member of the Volksbühne Bad Homburg , since 2007 also on the board, since 2015 first chairman. Here he works regularly as an actor and director. In 1997 he was a founding member of the Association of German Speakers and its first chairman from 2006 to 2016. In 2006 he also founded the audio book publisher RME-audiobooks . Ehrhardt has also been running the speaker agency WorldWideVoices on the Internet since 2004 . He runs his own sound, video and music studio in Friedrichsdorf.

Ehrhardt is divorced and has two sons (* 1980 and * 1984).
