Dietmar Ossenberg (born April 3, 1950 in Recklinghausen ) is a former German journalist and television presenter .

Life

Dietmar Ossenberg graduated after graduating from high school in 1969 at the Moll-Gymnasium Mannheim a study of political science , sociology and public law and for the 1979 ZDF operates. Until 1980 he worked as a freelancer in the main editorial office for "domestic politics".

Afterwards he was head of the television division of the Hessischer Rundfunk in Wiesbaden and head of the magazine Parliament, Parties, Perspectives . Since 2009 he has been working as a correspondent in Cairo again. His successor as head of the main foreign policy department at ZDF was Theo Koll , known from the ZDF program Frontal21 . Ossenberg reported in 2011 a. a. from the revolution in Egypt and followed the civil war in Libya . On August 31, 2015, he retired.
