Rainer M. Holm-Hadulla

Rainer Matthias Holm-Hadulla (born September 22, 1951 in Peine ) is a German psychiatrist , psychotherapist and psychoanalyst .

Life

Holm-Hadulla studied after high school, he in October 1970 in Wetzlar received, medicine and philosophy at the universities of Marburg , Rome and Heidelberg . He graduated from the Physikum in Marburg in 1973 and graduated in 1976 with the state examination in Heidelberg. From 1976 to 1978 he worked as a medical assistant. In 1978 he received his doctorate from Heinrich Schipperges in Heidelberg. From 1979 to 1986, Holm-Hadulla worked as an assistant, ward and senior physician as part of his training as a specialist in psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, as well as teaching at the Heidelberg University Hospital.

From 1986 to 2016, Holm-Hadulla was the head physician for psychosocial counseling for students at Heidelberg University. In 1996 he received his habilitation in Heidelberg. At the end of 2002, Holm-Hadulla was appointed adjunct professor for psychotherapeutic medicine at Heidelberg University. In 2009 Holm-Hadulla was appointed to the International College Morphomata, Center for Advanced Studies at the University of Cologne. In 2010 he was appointed to the Marsilius-Kolleg, Center for Advanced Studies at Heidelberg University. In 2011 he was appointed "Investigador Adjunto" at the Universidad Diego Portales, Santiago de Chile. In the same year Holm-Hadulla was appointed visiting professor at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in Mannheim. He also held visiting professorships in South America and China. In 2015 he was appointed to the Academia Argentina de Ciencias, Psychoanálisis y Psiqiuatría. He is a training analyst in the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA).

Holm-Hadulla has been running a private practice for counseling, coaching and psychotherapy since 2017 and continues to teach at the University of Heidelberg and at various psychotherapeutic training institutes.

His main research interests are counseling, psychotherapy and creativity .
