Rainer Nikowitz
Rainer Nikowitz (* 1964 in Tulln ) is an Austrian journalist and author .
Life
Rainer Nikowitz was born in Tulln in Lower Austria in 1964 . After graduating from high school in Gänserndorf and dropping out of law , journalism and political science studies , he got a job at the daily newspaper Kurier in the “Leben” editorial office . From there he switched to the courier's weekend magazine “Freizeit”. Nikowitz has worked as a freelance journalist since 1995, and from 1998 as a columnist specializing in political satire for the news magazine profil . Since 2005, he has been voted “Columnist of the Year” six times by the Austrian trade magazine Der Österreichische Journalist . Since 2002 he has published several books, including column collections and the crime novel Volksfest . His second novel, The Supper , was published in 2014 .
