Raissa Wladimirowna Matwejewa ( Russian Раиса Владимировна Матвеева ; born May 17, 1979 in Persirlany near Jadrin , then Chuvash ASSR , now the Republic of Chuvashia ) is a former Russian summer biathlete .

Raissa Matvejewa won her first medal at the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2001 in Jambrozowa where she won the title alongside Yevgenia Mikhailova , Natalia Sokolova and Oksana Neupokoyewa . In 2002 she repeated the title win in Jablonec nad Nisou with Natalja Arzybaschewa , Olesja Fedosejewa and Lyubow Jermolajewa .

1997 Matvejewa was awarded as a master of sport .
