Yevgenija Jurjewna Michailowa ( Russian Евгения Юрьевна Михайлова ; born January 9, 1979 ) is a Russian biathlete who specializes in the cross courses in summer biathlon .

Yevgenia Mikhailova took part for the first time as part of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2000 in Khanty-Mansiysk in a major international event. In the sprint she only had to admit defeat to her teammate Natalja Sokolova . In the pursuit, the Belarusian Wolha Nasarawa slipped between the two, Mikhailova won the bronze medal. With Svetlana Dementjewa , Jewgenija Kuskepalowa and Sokolowa, they finally won the silver medal in the relay race. It took three years for the Russian to take part in another World Cup in Forni Avoltri . In the sprint, Mikhailova just missed another medal in fourth place and slipped back to eighth in the pursuit. She finished seventh in the mass start. She ran her worst World Championship in 2004 in Osrblie with results between eleven and 16. In Clausthal-Zellerfeld , Mikhailova also started at the 2004 European Summer Biathlon Championships , where she won the bronze medal in the pursuit race behind Ljubow Jermolajewa and Monika Liedtke .

The only noteworthy result in 2005 was winning the silver medal together with Jermolajewa, Jekaterina Sidorenko and Tatiana Moissejewa in the relay race of the World Cup. The 2006 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Ufa were also very successful with fourth place in the sprint and pursuit as well as winning the title in the mixed relay with Sidorenko, Dmitri Nikiforow and Sergei Balandin . The 2006 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Cēsis a bronze medal in the sprint behind Nadezhda Starik and Pavla Matyásová . In the mass start she won the title as well as with Starik, Anatoli Karpow and Alexei Kowjasin in the mixed relay. At the 2007 World Cup in Otepää , Michailowa won gold with Anna Sorokina , Alexei Katrenko and Iwan Bogdanow with the relay. In the sprint, the Russian ran eighth, in the pursuit race she improved to sixth. In addition, she won the silver medal in the mixed race at the 2007 European Championship in Tysovets with Natalja Solowjowa , Bogdanow and Kowjasin .
