The Rajon Amur Nyschnjodnipro (Ukrainian Амур-Нижньодніпровський район / Amur Nyschnjodniprowskyj rayon , Russian Амур-Нижнеднепровский район / Amur Nischnjednepropwski rayon ) is one of eight counties ( Rajone ) the city Dnipro , the Oblastzentrums the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in the Ukraine .

The Stadtrajon is located in the north-eastern part of the city on the left Dneprufer and is the third most populous administrative district of Dnipro with 151,515 inhabitants  (2008) . It has an area of ​​about 71.626 km².

history

The name is derived from a former settlement "Amur" and the "Nyschnjodniprovsker Bahnhof". In September 1917 all settlements in the area known as the Trans-Dnepr were merged to form Sadniprovsky Rajon. On January 25, 1918, the Rajon was converted into the city of Amur-Nyschnjodnipro, which was incorporated into what was then Yekaterinoslav around 1920.
