Justin Rakotoniaina

Justin Rakotoniaina (born December 14, 1933 , † 2001 ) was a Malagasy diplomat and politician. From 1976 until his resignation in August 1977 he was Prime Minister of Madagascar . He belonged to the AREMA unity party .

Rakotoniaina, a left-wing Catholic, succeeded Malagasy Prime Minister Joel Rakotomalala in office on August 12, 1976 , who was killed in a plane crash. On August 1, 1977, he resigned from his post.
