Ralf Bruelheide (born October 6, 1967 in Bielefeld ) is a former German handball player .

Career

Bruelheide began his career at TuS Jöllenbeck , where he made his debut at the age of 17 in the first team that played in the association league at the time. In 1985 the back player moved to the Bundesliga club TBV Lemgo , for whom he was active for two years. This was followed by the change to TuS Nettelstedt in the 2nd Bundesliga North . With the Nettelstedtern he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 1994. With over 1,000 goals, 170 of them in the promotion season, Bruelheide is the most successful goalscorer in the Nettelstedt club's history. After an outer ligament tear , Bruelheide received no new contract.

Bruelheide then returned to Bielefeld and joined SC Bielefeld 04/26 , which had just been promoted to the Regionalliga West . Bruelheide moved to HSG Augustdorf / Hövelhof via HC 93 Bad Salzuflen , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2002. In the mid-2000s he returned to his home for TuS 97 Bielefeld-Jöllenbeck , a merger of the handball departments of TuS Jöllenbeck and SC Bielefeld 04/26 . Bruelheide rose with the Jöllenbeckern in 2006 to the Oberliga Westfalen and was the league's top scorer in the following season . On December 20, 2010 he gave his farewell game in Jöllenbeck. In January 2012 Bruelheide made its comeback and helped the state division HSG Löhne / Obernbeck in the relegation battle.

Ralf Bruelheide works as a physiotherapist and alternative practitioner and runs a practice for physiotherapy in Leopoldshöhe with a business partner . He is married and has three sons.
