Ralf Buchheim

Ralf Buchheim (born October 10, 1983 in Lebus , Seelow district , GDR ) is a German marksman specializing in the skeet discipline .

Ralf Buchheim is the son of Michael Buchheim , who also trains him alongside Wilhelm Metelmann . The sports soldier and member of the B-squad of the German Rifle Federation has lived with Katja Dieckow in Potsdam since 2013 . He starts for the Schützengilde Frankfurt ad Oder in 1406 . At the European Junior Championships in 2001 in Zagreb , he reached eighth place. A year later at the Junior World Championships in Lahti he was runner-up in the junior world championship.

Buchheim quickly rose to the national team after moving to the senior camp. At the European Championships in Nicosia in 2004 , he missed the finals as 32nd, but won the bronze medal with Axel Wegner and Tino Wenzel behind the teams from Norway and Italy. A year later he was able to win the bronze medal in the team competition with Wegner and Wenzel behind Norway and Italy, but again missed the individual final as 21st. At the 2006 World Championships in Zagreb , he and Wegner and Wenzel were even able to achieve the vice-world title behind the representative from the Czech Republic. In the individual he was 27. At the World Championships in Munich , Buchheim missed the finals by just one place as seventh of the individual, and with Wegner and Wenzel also in the team with fourth place by another medal. At the singles of the European Championships 2011 in Belgrade, the individual competition went bad again and he was 32nd In the team, he had to admit defeat only Norway with Wenzel and Wegner and was again Vice European Champion. A month later, the world championship took place at the same location, with Buchheim finishing eleventh in the individual and ninth in the team with Wenzel and Frank Cordesmeyer . In 2012 he competed at the European Championships in Larnaka and was 27th in the individual as well as 10th in the team competition with Wenzel and Cordesmeyer. He qualified for the skeet competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and finished tenth.

In April 2014 he qualified for the World Cup in Almaty in mid-May at the Frankfurt (Oder) shooting sports center.
