Ralf Felber

Ralf Felber (born March 4, 1954 in Ansbach ; † May 14, 2019 in Anglet , France ) was a German local politician ( SPD , then non-party ). From 1990 to 2008 he was Lord Mayor of the Middle Franconian city ​​of Ansbach.

Career

After completing his teaching degree , he first worked as a teacher . In 1984 he ran for position 19 on the SPD list and was elected to the city council. In May 1990 he was able to prevail in the runoff election against the CSU candidate Klaus Dieter Breitschwert and was elected Lord Mayor of the city of Ansbach. In the following elections in 1996 and 2002 he was also supported by the CSU and confirmed in his office.

In the local elections in March 2008, he ran again, but was defeated, despite the support of the CSU, in a runoff election by the non-party candidate Carda Seidel .

Since mid-2008 he worked for Thüga and EON AG and as a consultant for the Breitschwert car dealership in Ansbach.

Felber died of a heart attack on May 14, 2019 in Ansbach's French twin town Anglet .
