Ralf Friedrichs (born August 16, 1964 in Hürth ) is the author of various satire books and contemporary novels and writes articles as a football expert for Focus . He also hosted several football - Talk formats and was also instrumental in the production of the football film documentaries Heinz fleas - The dancing with the ball and the Double in 1977/78 involved.

Ralf Friedrichs has been publishing books for various publishing houses since 2007. With "The Lesson Today - When I returned to July 13, 1985", Friedrichs published one of the few literary Live AID publications that deal with the July 13, 1985 benefit event. The real sequence of the world concert organized by Bob Geldof is meticulously integrated into the fictional novel story in real time. In the novel “In the end we only worked for the employees”, published by Dumont Buchverlag , he described the experiences of a company founder who failed because of his own mistakes and the incompetence of a bank. At the beginning of 2014, Humboldt Verlag published the title “Kaiserschmarrn - The Craziest Scandals of the National Football Team”, a humorous and satirical discussion of the history of the German national football team . His writing began in November 2007 with the "Neulich im Geißbockheim" satirical stories about 1.FC Cologne . This series, which was extremely successful in Cologne and the surrounding area, first became a cult on the Internet and subsequently comprised three books and a comedy CD. In August 2017 he presented "So ein Tag - Der Weg nach Europa", a documentary in book form about the entry of 1. FC Köln into the European Cup.

Moderator

In 2009 Friedrichs initiated the FC Stammtisch Talk on his own initiative, the content of which dealt purely with 1. FC Köln . For this round of talks, which has meanwhile been broadcast by the Cologne regional TV stations center.tv and Köln.tv , he also took on the moderation. He was supported by Sky presenter Thomas Wagner , who acted as a constant expert. Many football celebrities were received in a total of 184 issues, including Lukas Podolski , Jörg Schmadtke , Peter Stöger , Timo Horn , Jonas Hector and former club greats such as Wolfgang Weber and Karl-Heinz Thielen . Five weeks before his death, club legend Hannes Löhr had his last public appearance there in front of a camera. In May 2017, Friedrichs completed the format after more than eight years.

Between 2010 and 2014, Friedrichs also moderated 109 issues of the studio talk Heimspiel for the Cologne TV station center.tv.

In September 2018, Friedrichs resumed the FC get-togethers talk because a neutral dialogue platform around the now relegated 1. FC Köln seemed sensible and necessary again.

Football movies

For the documentary " Heinz Flohe - Who danced with the ball ", which was positively rated by the trade press , Friedrichs was officially responsible for the intensive research tasks and also worked in front of the camera as a contemporary witness and expert in the film. At the international 11mm football film festival in 2015, the film by director Frank Steffan came second in the audience award out of 65 productions that made it into the festival, making it the best German contribution in this category. For the film Das Double 1977/78 , which documented winning the championship and the cup of 1. FC Köln in 1978, Friedrichs did the research again. The documentary had its premiere in a large Cologne cinema in September 2017, in a special screening moderated by Friedrichs in front of various guests of honor. In March 2018, the production at the 11mm football film festival this time won the overall audience award.
