Ralf Rinke (also Ralfs Rinke-Leitāns ; born May 18, 1993 in Ebersberg ) is a German - Latvian ice hockey player who is under contract with the Hannover Scorpions in the ice hockey Oberliga Nord. His brother Eddy is also a hockey player.

Career

Rinke began his career at TSV Erding , for whose juniors he played in the youth Bundesliga in the 2008/09 season. In the following season he moved to the Jungadler Mannheim , where he played two seasons. With the Heilbronner Falken he played four games in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2010/11 season. After his sporting appearance in the German junior league with the EV Landshut , he moved to northern Germany and played for the EHC Timmendorfer Strand 06 in the Oberliga Nord in the 2011/12 season .

After only one season in the league, he was signed by the Hamburg Freezers and given a license to support. This license authorized him to compete for the Fischtown Pinguins from Bremerhaven . In the 2013/14 season he won the DEL2 championship with the team from Bremerhaven . Since November 13, 2014, with the help of his funding license, he has been used by the ETC Crimmitschau league competitor , as neither the Hamburg Freezers nor the Fischtown Pinguins could give him enough playing time. In February 2015, the Hamburg team reacted to their injury-related staff shortage and brought Rinke back to the DEL squad.

In the summer of 2015 he completed a trial training at Dinamo Riga , but could not recommend himself for a contract. Instead, the Heilbronner Falken hired him for the 2015/16 DEL2 season .

In December 2015 it was announced that Ralf Rinke had tested positive for an unspecified prohibited substance after the game on November 20, 2015 at the Dresdner Eislöwen, which resulted in an immediate suspension.

From the 2017/18 season he took part in training at the ERC Sonthofen and, after his doping ban had expired, took part in regular matches from December 15, 2017.
