Ralf Scholt

Ralf Scholt (born January 13, 1964 in Dorsten ) is a German sports journalist . He is the sports director of the Hessian broadcaster and works as a commentator and presenter for the ARD sports show.

Career

Scholt studied at the German Sport University Cologne . He then began his journalistic career as a freelancer in the Sportschau editorial team at Westdeutscher Rundfunk . Since 1994 he has presented numerous sports programs for WDR and Hessischer Rundfunk . For ARD , Ralf Scholt comments on the Bundesliga for the sports show and, since 1999, on all athletics and speed skating broadcasts. He also moderates all swimming broadcasts in the first together with expert Franziska van Almsick . Scholt has been head of sports at Hessischer Rundfunk since November 1, 2004, where he is one of the presenters of the home game! .

Under the direction of Scholt, the Hessischer Rundfunk has been broadcasting the Triathlon Ironman World Championships from Hawaii since 2009 as the only television station worldwide live on TV.

His editorial department hr-Sport has been ARD's first tri-media sports department since 2013 , making Scholt responsible for radio, television and online sports on Hessischer Rundfunk.

In 2008, with Sandra Maischberger , in Vancouver in 2010 , with Jens-Jörg Riek , in Sotschi in 2014 , with Eberhard Nembach and in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 , with Tom Bartels , Scholt commented on the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games for ARD.

In 2012, he and six other sports journalists were nominated for the German Television Award for reporting on the Summer Olympics . At the soccer World Cup in Brazil in 2014 , Scholt was the stadium reporter for the first time.
