Ralph Tresvant
Ralph Tresvant (actually Ralph Edward Tresvant, Jr. , born May 16, 1968 in Roxbury , Massachusetts ) is an American R&B , soul and pop singer and rapper .
biography
First, Tresvant gained fame with the group New Edition , of which he was a member between 1981 and 1989 and to which Bobby Brown also belonged. He is the last band member to appear as a solo artist. In the early 1990s, he was mostly successful in the United States. His biggest solo hit was called Sensitivity and rose to number 4 in the US charts in late 1990 and to number 18 in England in early 1991 .
The album Ralph Tresvant climbed to number 17 on the US album charts in late 1990 . In February 1991, the long player was able to place in the United Kingdom in the charts, at the same time the single Stone Cold Gentleman rose to number 34 in the USA. With Money Can't Buy You Love , Tresvant had a solo single for the last time on the Billboard charts in 1992. As a guest rapper he was next to Luther Vandross and Janet Jackson on the single The Best Things in Life Are Free , which became a worldwide hit in 1992.
The 1994 album It's Goin Down reached a hit parade listing in the United States, but did not go beyond number 131. Today Tresvant is again a member of New Edition. The group had come together again in 2005.
