Ralph Tschudi, member of the Kongelig Norsk Seilforening , won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 in the 8-meter class according to the International Rule of 1919. With the Lyn he came in three races, always behind the second Norwegian boat Sildra and in front of the Belgian boat Antwerpia V in second place, which is why the Lyn finished the regatta in second place. In addition to skipper Jens Salvesen , the crew also included Nils Thomas , Lauritz Schmidt and Finn Schiander .

Tschudi had a commercial education and from 1909 worked in various companies in Germany and the United Kingdom. After returning to Norway, he took a management position in his father's company. After his death in 1914, Tschudi sold the company property and liquidated the company. He later traded in real estate himself.
