Malao is an island off the east coast of Espiritu Santo in the province of Sanma in the island state of Vanuatu in the Pacific Ocean .
geography
Malao is a small motu at the mouth of the Matevulu Blue Hole drain . Together with its smaller sister Malvanua and other nameless Motu, it lies between the main island and Dany Island and Mavéa at the entrance to Turtle Bay . In the south of the island is the Malwepe settlement .
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds.
