Ramona Petruța Farcău , married Maier , (born July 14, 1979 in Zalău ) is a Romanian handball player who played in the Romanian national team.
The outside player played for Romanian first division club CS Oltchim Râmnicu Vâlcea from 2006 to 2013 . Farcau previously played for league rivals CS Silcotub Zalau . She won the championship ten times with both clubs, three times the Romanian Cup, once the European Cup Winners' Cup and once the EHF Champions Trophy . In 2013 she moved to HC Dunărea Brăila, in 2015 to CSM Ploieşti and in 2016 to the second division Dinamo Bucharest.
For the Romanian selection Farcău played 207 internationals, in which they scored 675 goals. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 she was seventh with Romania. In 2005 she was runner-up at the World Cup in Russia after Romania lost the final to the hosts. In 2008 Farcau took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing , where she again finished seventh with Romania. With 53 goals she was the top scorer of the tournament. She was also voted Best Right Winger in the All Star Team.
