Raoul Arnauld de la Perière

Raoul Arnauld de la Perière (born March 26, 1874 in Berlin , † March 13, 1908 in Hamburg ) was a German actor.

Life

Arnauld de la Perière was the son of a Prussian officer and his wife, the singer Marie Heyrowska ; the actress Alice Arnauld de la Perière was his younger sister.

According to his family's wishes, Arnauld de la Perière should have chosen a military career; however, he decided to go to the theater. At 19, he was in 1893 at the Municipal Theater of Annaberg successful debut.

From 1894 to 1896 Arnauld de la Perière was engaged at the Schauspielhaus Berlin . As an important member of this ensemble, he and a few other colleagues made a guest appearance in Moscow in May 1896 - on the occasion of the coronation celebrations for Tsar Nicholas II .

Back in Germany, Arnauld de la Perière appeared in succession at the Lübeck Theater, Liegnitz City Theater , Detmold State Theater , Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf , Mariinski Theater Saint Petersburg and Moscow International Theater .

In 1902 Arnauld de la Perière accepted a permanent position at the ducal court theater in Altenburg . Later he moved to the city theater in Hamburg and stayed there until the end of his life.
