Alice Arnauld de la Perière

Angelika Valeska Alice von Arnauld de la Perière (born May 16, 1875 in Berlin , † February 14, 1914 in Berlin-Schöneberg ) was a German actress.

Life

Arnauld de la Perière was the daughter of a Prussian officer and his wife, the singer Marie Heyrowska ; the actor Raoul Arnauld de la Perière was her brother. She received her first artistic lessons from her mother; later she became a student of August Grosse and Maria Pospischil .

At the age of 18, Arnauld de la Perière made a successful debut at the Court Theater in Mannheim in 1893 . The artistic director Alois Prasch saw her there and immediately hired her for his theater in Baden-Baden . From there she moved to the Elberfeld Theater in 1895 .

The following year she went to the Schauspielhaus in Berlin , where she appeared for the first time on September 9th in the role of "Lady Nottingham". The general manager Bolko von Hochberg was enthusiastic and engaged her immediately after this performance.

From this time on, Arnauld de la Perière was also a regular participant in the annual Rhenish Festival in and near Düsseldorf .
