Rareş Lucian Jurcă [ rareʃ ʒurkə ] (born April 29, 1983 in Cluj-Napoca ) is a Romanian national handball player with 130 international A matches (as of May 2014). His position is right back .
Rareş Jurcă played for SC Magdeburg and in his home country for Dinamo Bucharest , with whom he won the Romanian championship in 2005. In 2006 the left-hander moved to RK Zagreb , with whom he won the double in 2007 . For the 2007/08 season he came in exchange for the Croatian goalkeeper Dragan Jerković from there to the Kadetten Schaffhausen . For the 2008/09 season Jurcă moved to Frisch Auf Göppingen . For the 2010/11 season he returned to the Kadetten Schaffhausen, with whom he won the championship in 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015 and the SHV Cup in 2011 and 2014 . In the summer of 2015 Jurcă joined the RTV 1879 Basel . For the 2019/20 season he is moving to league competitor TSV St. Otmar St. Gallen .
