Rasmus Thellufsen Pedersen (born January 9, 1997 in Sæby ) is a Danish football player . The left winger is under contract with Aalborg BK and is a former Danish junior international.

Career

Pedersen comes from the coastal town of Sæby in the Danish northeast, about 60 kilometers from Aalborg . His football roots are in his hometown with Skjold Sæby IF, which he later left when he was accepted into the youth training center of Aalborg BK .

Together with five other senior youth players, the winger was promoted to the club's professional squad for the 2016/17 season . With Aalborg Pedersen reached the quarter-finals of the national cup as well as the 5th place in the championship round of the league in the 2017/18 season .

On the 7th matchday of the third division 2019/20 season, the Dane moved to Germany to Hansa Rostock . The loan agreement was valid until June 30, 2020 and contained a purchase option. Pedersen played a total of 18 competitive games for the Ostseestädter from Rostock, including 14 third division games (three goals) and four games (one goal) in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Cup . Two game days before the end of the third division 2019/20 season, he ended his arrangement with Hansa Rostock in accordance with his contract term.

In the past, Pedersen has played ten times for the DBU's junior national teams .

Trivia

While Pedersen always wore his middle name Thellufsen on his jersey in his Danish homeland, he had to wear his surname Pedersen after moving to Germany. The statutes of the DFB only allow the use of the last name or an artist name entered in the identity card.
