The town hall is a listed secular building in Bergisch Gladbach in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis , ( North Rhine-Westphalia ). It is on Konrad-Adenauer-Platz in the city ​​center district .

History and architecture

The three-wing building in the style of the German Renaissance was built from 1905 to 1906 under the direction of Ludwig Bopp , a representative of the Munich School . The central building, in which the council chamber is located, was made of local dolomite limestone. It is characterized by a column portal , two gables and a high hipped roof with a viewing lantern. A wing in the Bergisch Sitl with a half-timbered upper floor and a plain plastered building with a southern German character, which is adorned with a sundial and a mural with the view of the city from around 1800, were added to each side.
