Town Hall (Burgau)
The town hall in Burgau , a town in the Günzburg district in the Bavarian administrative district of Swabia , was built at the beginning of the 18th century. The town hall at Stadtstraße 6, at the confluence with Norbert-Schuster-Straße, is a protected architectural monument .
History and description
The old town hall was built from 1709 to 1711 according to plans by Valerian Brenner . The building with a gable roof has a gable on the eaves side . A roof turret with an octagon and an onion dome rises above the west gable facing the street . In the square substructure of the roof ridge there are dials of the town hall clock on all sides .
A stucco ceiling with the Habsburg double-headed eagle was created by Wilhelm Willam in the meeting room around 1711 .
