action
It's the hottest summer in 150 years. The garbage disposal in Frankfurt is on strike, but the mayor does not want to give in. The young doctor Katrin Elder hardly has any time left for her daughter. The little one is in mortal danger. She is rescued by Frank Dabrock, a pilot in the fire protection unit. He cuts a cable, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is paralyzed and the hero finds himself transferred to the “Pest Control” sub-department. The service there soon becomes a nightmare. A plague of rats overwhelms the city and brings with it a deadly virus. A merciless race against time begins for the doctors and Dabrock's colleagues.
