Anne Cathrin Buhtz

Anne Cathrin Buhtz (born August 24, 1973 in Mainz ) is a German actress .

Life

Anne Cathrin Buhtz received her acting training from 1993 to 1997 at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater . As the best in class, she and Solveig Krebs were awarded the Alfini Syllwasschy Prize at the end of their studies. In the same year she started her first permanent engagement at the Staatstheater Braunschweig , of which she was a member until 2008. In 2010 and 2012 Buhtz played at Theater Erlangen , in between she was engaged at the Württemberg State Theater in Stuttgart . Since the 2013/14 season she has been a member of the Leipzig Theater Ensemble . Well-known roles in her stage career have included Lady Macbeth , Countess Orsina in Emilia Galotti and Recha in Nathan the Wise , both by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing , Sawda in Burns by Wajdi Mouawad , Martha in Edward Albee's Who Is Afraid of Virginia Woolf? or Sidonie von Grasenabb in The bitter tears of Petra von Kant by Rainer Werner Fassbinder .

Anne Cathrin Buhtz has also been working extensively for film and television since 1995. She made her comrade debut in 1995 in the short film Ballad After Midnight . Guest roles in well-known series such as Großstadtrevier , Coast Guard , Der Dicke , SOKO Cologne and Notruf Hafenkante followed . In the series Post Mortem she was in all 17 episodes as Dr. Vera Bergmann can be seen alongside Hannes Jaenicke and Charly Hübner , in 2011 she starred in the award-winning film Home Video .
