rise

The ascent path leads from the Bonn-Matreier Hütte first on the Venediger Höhenweg eastwards to the Kälberscharte. From there it goes on a steep path in an earthy rubble channel up to the southeast ridge and over this initially not difficult to just before the summit. The last meters to the summit require easy block climbing (difficulty II- according to UIAA ) surefootedness and a head for heights . The summit can be reached from the hut in about an hour.
