Real Estate is an American indie rock band from Ridgewood (New Jersey) , whose members work and live in Brooklyn .

history

The band, which was founded in 2009, released their first album in the year it was founded, which bears the same name as the band itself. The album was well received by various music critics and received an 8.5-point rating from Pitchfork , among others . According to Metacritic , the album was rated an average of 79 out of 100 points.

After the release of the work, the EP Reality was also released , before the band went on tour and appeared as opening act for Kurt Vile and Deerhunter , among others . In 2010 Real Estate was also seen at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago and the San Miguel Primavera Sound in Barcelona .

In 2011 Domino Records signed the band and they released their second album, Days , on October 18th . This also received consistently positive reviews and was rated slightly better than the first work by Pitchfork: It received an 8.7 rating.
