Rec-Z
Rec-Z (born July 19, 1986 in Neustadt am Rübenberge ) is a German rapper who is under contract with the Hanover label intono records.
Surname
The name Rec-Z (phonetic [reks]) is made up of the Latin “rex” (= king) and the English rec (from record = to record).
Life
Rec-Z was born on July 19, 1986 in Neustadt am Rübenberge and spent his childhood in the Neustadt area. After completing his general university entrance qualification, he trained as an office clerk in a media technology company in Hanover .
In 2010 he moved to the city of Oldenburg for his teaching degree in sports and German studies .
Musical career
According to their own information, Rec-Z began rapping actively towards the end of 2005. Previously, he had some experience programming instrumentals, writing lyrics, and recording and mixing songs for his friends. In the following time he published numerous free tracks, EPs and mixtapes and was active on battle platforms such as the Reimliga Battle Arena (RBA) and Hiphopbattles.com. In 2008 he took part in the video battle tournament (VBT) from Rappers.in for the first time and came in second there.
After further free EP and mixtape releases as well as collaborations with other artists, Rec-Z released his debut album Kolibri on January 31, 2013 and entered the digital charts on Amazon and iTunes .
In 2014 Rec-Z decided to take part in the third Splash! Edition of the VBT together with its crew, the “Rote Gang”.
On March 3, 2017 his second solo album was released homegrown .
