A hotel and restaurant on site is called Reckweilerhof .
history
The Reckweilerhof was first mentioned in 1220 as "Regewilre" and belonged to Offenbach Abbey . Initially, the monastery was governed by the Counts of Nahegau , later Electoral Palatinate and, from 1480, Pfalz-Zweibrücken . From 1601 to 1635 the farm was leased to the Counts of Pfalz-Veldenz in Lauterecken . In 1768 with the Selz and Hagenbach exchange , the Reckweilerhof came back to the Electoral Palatinate and belonged to the Wolfstein sub-office.
Only spoilage remains from the former estate that were built into the buildings that were built later. The Altenburg is said to have been located at Reckweilerhof , a suspected but not proven castle site.
The station of the same name was written Röckweilerhof until 1933 .
