The Red Crag is a rocky outcrop of red lava rock on Deception Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises east of the High Window and Whalers Bay between Cathedral Crags and South East Point .
The British geologist Donald Durston Hawkes (* 1934) from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it in 1961. Polish scientists named it in 1999 after its reddish appearance.
